The Europa Hotel

As more and more visitors flock to Belfast due to the relative peace there now is, hotels for tourists to stay at will become increasingly important.

The Europa Hotel, once dubbed "Europe's Most bombed Hotel" is one of the biggest and most important of Belfast's hotels. The hotel is located near the city centre and is situated next to the Grand Opera House.

The Europa Hotel has 240 bedrooms and is claimed to be the biggest in Northern Ireland[1].

The hotel was damaged 33 times by IRA bombs between 1970 and 1994 and was known as the most bombed hotel in Europe[2].

Bill Clinton stayed in the hotel during his 1995 and 1998 Presidential visits[3].

The Europa Hotel has great transport links, with it being right beside the Europa Bus Terminal and Great Victoria Street train station. It is possible to get a bus or train to any major destination within Northern Ireland and even Ireland itself. There are also buses to both of the Belfast airports.
